End of 2009

In three days I will be done my final exam for this term, will have my final play rehearsals, then go to Toronto for my last Toronto party of 2009 with Jessica. On Sunday I will take the train home for the last time of the year, and then turn around a week later to come up this time by car (I hope) and head to England for the last part of the break, and to ring in the New Year.

The past month hasn't been all endings, however. I finished my teachers college applications, but that will be starting a new part of my life. My Honours Performance Series and Literature classes will be continuing next term, I plan to keep volunteering at the schools and library where I was this year.

I've been loving my house, especially living with Ali, and late night chats with Negine. I'm feeling really at home in the house, university, and city. It was a great idea to leave last year - it's made me happy to be back.

I'm training to do a 10km leg of the Hamilton Around the Bay Run at the end of next March with Ali and Steph (both also 4th year artscis). It's a hard season to train in, but it feel good to be exercising.

Lastly, today my "time share" arrived from Ryan. It is the clock that Richard Barkman made for us in Sachigo, and it's my turn with it! It was a wonderful surprise, as was the bag of beans, a muffin, garlic, a carrot, a potato and chickpeas that came along with it. I now understand that it is meant to be stew mix, but I was quite confused initially.

Next time I post it will likely be 2010, so thank you everyone for a wonderful 2009 - in England, Europe, Chatham, northern Ontario, Toronto and Hamilton!

Let the adventure continue!
